End Of Summer 2007 Report
It's Labor Day weekend and we have a few spare moments to update the Kragen & Company news so here goes.

We ended up launching our own record company in May, StarPointe Records, in order to release Collin Raye's wonderful song "A Soldier's Prayer" and a CD called "Selected Hits" which is being sold exclusively at Wal*Mart stores. It's also available to hear and buy on Collin's wonderful website www.collinraye.com. The CD has "A Soldier's Prayer," another terrific song "Quitters" and four of Collin's greatest hits done live with the Salt Lake Symphony Orchestra. Because it has only 6 songs (at the request of Wal*Mart) it sells for only $5.49. It's an interesting experiment.

Collin is continuing to tour extensively. He just performed on Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert in Dallas and will do a special benefit for the families of the fallen miners in Huntington, Utah on September 15th. In October he and the band are off to the Persian Gulf to perform for the troops and then in December he goes to Ireland to do a half dozen shows. On top of all that he has another 30 or so shows here in the US between now and December 1st.

Our wonderful client, Suzanne Whang, is as busy as ever having filmed four more episodes of the NBC-TV series "Las Vegas" while continuing her work on HGTV's #1 show "House Hunters" and doing a considerable amount of public speaking. She was directly responsible for Oprah Winfrey's discovery of "The Secret" and flew to Chicago to be present when Oprah launched her love affair with the concept. This past summer she's done special presentations for the Mortgage Broker's Association (as a spokesperson); Dell Computers, AGAPE and numerous other organizations.

Ronn Lucas has moved from the Steve Wyrick Theater to a much better situation at the Luxor Hotel and is enjoying every minute of it. He's there in the afternoons every day from Saturday through Wednesday with Thursday and Friday off.

Ken Kragen's daughter's book "The 12 Dogs Of Christmas" and the DVD of the full-length, live-action feature film that was developed from it continue to amaze us all by the staying power of their sales. Both products are now over 500,000 units sold in the US alone and being seen or sold in more than 40 countries around the world. The latest incarnation of this delightful parody of "The 12 Days Of Christmas" is a 136 page novelization of the movie written by Steven Paul Leiva and published by Thomas Nelson, the same company that published the original book. The novel fills in many of the gaps in the movie or gives the reader a fuller idea of the thoughts and motivations of the characters including the dogs. It's aimed at 6-10 year olds but is perfect for reading to much younger children.

Our most recent movie is called "A Family Holiday" and will be available on DVD a month earlier than we thought beginning November 1st. It will also shown on the Lifetime Channel beginning around Thanksgiving. Staring David Coulier from "Full House" it is the story of a loveable con man and the dilemma he faces when he inherits $20,000,000 from his uncle and can only get it if he has a job, a home, a wife and a family - none of which he has. Coulier brings enormous charm and humor to the part and the movie is another that is fun for the whole family.
